Warfarin 5 mg Tablet is a blood thinner (anticoagulant) used to prevent and treat blood clots. It works by reducing the blood’s ability to clot, which helps prevent dangerous clots from forming in the veins, lungs, heart, or brain. Doctors prescribe it to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). The 5 mg strength is often used when a higher dose is needed to keep the blood at the right thinness, guided by regular blood tests (PT/INR).

About the Product

Warfarin 5 mg Tablet is a blood thinner (anticoagulant) used to prevent and treat blood clots. It works by reducing the blood’s ability to clot, which helps prevent dangerous clots from forming in the veins, lungs, heart, or brain. Doctors prescribe it to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). The 5 mg strength is often used when a higher dose is needed to keep the blood at the right thinness, guided by regular blood tests (PT/INR).

Common side effects include easy bruising, mild bleeding (gum or nosebleeds), and dizziness. Serious but rare side effects include severe bleeding, black/tarry stools, vomiting blood, or sudden severe headache. Seek immediate medical help if these symptoms occur.

Helps prevent and treat blood clots and reduces the risk of stroke, DVT, PE, and heart-related complications.

Take Warfarin 5 mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Regular blood tests (PT/INR) are necessary to adjust the dose safely. Do not change the dose or stop taking it without medical advice. Avoid sudden changes in diet, especially foods rich in vitamin K (like spinach, kale, and other green leafy vegetables), as they can affect how the medicine works. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking. This medicine should be avoided during pregnancy unless specifically recommended by a doctor.

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep in the original packaging and out of reach of children.
