Sacustep 100 Tablet is a fixed-dose combination medication containing Sacubitril and Valsartan, formulated to manage chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Sacubitril is a neprilysin inhibitor that increases the levels of endogenous natriuretic peptides, which promote vasodilation, sodium excretion, and reduced cardiac remodeling. Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps to relax blood vessels, reduce blood pressure, and decrease the workload on the heart. This dual-action therapy improves the heart's pumping efficiency and reduces the risks of hospitalization and cardiovascular death. Sacustep 100 is considered a key advancement in heart failure management and is typically prescribed in place of an ACE inhibitor or ARB in patients who remain symptomatic despite optimal medical therapy. Common side effects of Sacustep 100 Tablet include hypotension (low blood pressure), hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels), dizziness, fatigue, and renal dysfunction. Some patients may also experience cough or gastrointestinal discomfort. A rare but serious side effect is angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, or throat), which requires immediate medical attention. Monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is recommended during treatment.

Sacustep 100 Tablet is indicated for the treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adult patients. It is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization for heart failure, especially in patients who have not achieved adequate symptom control with standard therapies like ACE inhibitors, ARBs, beta-blockers, and diuretics.

Sacustep 100 Tablet should only be taken under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. It must not be used together with ACE inhibitors due to the increased risk of angioedema. If switching from an ACE inhibitor, maintain a washout period of at least 36 hours.
