About the Product

Nicoumalone 2 mg Tablet is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) used to prevent and treat blood clots in the body. It works by slowing the clotting process, helping the blood flow smoothly and reducing the risk of dangerous clots forming in the veins, lungs, brain, or heart. Doctors prescribe it to lower the chances of stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). The 2 mg strength is often used as a regular maintenance dose depending on blood test results.

Common side effects include easy bruising, mild bleeding (nosebleeds, gum bleeding), and dizziness. Serious but rare side effects include severe internal bleeding, black/tarry stools, vomiting blood, or sudden severe headache, which require immediate medical help.

Used to prevent and treat blood clots, and to reduce the risk of stroke, DVT, PE, and heart attack in patients at risk.

Take Nicoumalone 2 mg Tablet exactly as directed by your doctor. Regular blood tests (PT/INR) are essential to keep the dose safe and effective. Do not adjust the dose yourself. Avoid sudden changes in diet, especially foods rich in vitamin K (like spinach, kale, and broccoli), as they can affect how the medicine works. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy unless prescribed for specific medical reasons.

Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from moisture and sunlight. Keep in the original pack and out of reach of children.
