Keptos TH 100/8 Tablet is a dual-action muscle relaxant and anti-inflammatory formulation containing Ketoprofen 100 mg and Thiocolchicoside 8 mg. Ketoprofen is a potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thus reducing pain and inflammation. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant that acts on the central nervous system to relieve muscle stiffness and spasms. The combination is effective in providing rapid relief from musculoskeletal pain, backache, sprains, and muscular injuries. It enhances mobility and reduces discomfort associated with acute painful musculoskeletal conditions.
Keptos TH 100/8 Tablet is generally well tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, gastritis, or abdominal discomfort may occur. Drowsiness, dizziness, or allergic reactions may also be seen in rare cases. Long-term use may require caution due to potential renal or hepatic implications, especially in sensitive individuals.
Indicated for the treatment of acute musculoskeletal pain, including low back pain, cervical pain, post-traumatic inflammation, spasmodic muscle conditions, and other inflammatory disorders of the joints and soft tissues where muscle spasm is present.
This medication should be used strictly under medical supervision. Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation unless prescribed. Avoid alcohol or sedatives while taking this medicine. Caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, renal impairment, or epilepsy.
Store at a temperature below 30°C, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
