Ibuprofen 100 mg + Paracetamol 162.5 mg Suspension is a pediatric analgesic and antipyretic formulation designed to provide effective relief from pain and fever in children. Ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), helps reduce inflammation and pain, while Paracetamol (acetaminophen) acts as a potent fever reducer and mild analgesic. Together, they offer a synergistic effect, ensuring fast and long-lasting relief with better tolerance in younger patients.
Generally well tolerated, but some children may experience mild gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, or diarrhea. Rarely, allergic reactions such as skin rash or itching may occur. Long-term or high-dose usage should be avoided to prevent potential liver or kidney issues.
This suspension is indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain and fever in children, including conditions such as teething pain, post-immunization fever, sore throat, earaches, and musculoskeletal pain. It is also used in febrile conditions of viral or bacterial origin.
