Heptyle 25000 Injection contains Heparin (5000 IU), an anticoagulant that helps prevent the formation and extension of blood clots, and Benzyl Alcohol (0.95%) as a preservative. Heparin works by enhancing the activity of antithrombin III, which inhibits clotting factors, thereby maintaining smooth blood flow and preventing thromboembolic events.
It helps in the prevention and treatment of blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and other conditions requiring anticoagulation therapy.
May cause mild bleeding, bruising, or pain at the injection site. Rarely, allergic reactions, thrombocytopenia, or hemorrhage may occur.
Indicated for patients requiring anticoagulant therapy, including prevention and treatment of thrombosis, embolism, and other clot-related disorders. Use strictly under medical supervision.
