Edavine Injection contains Edaravone, a potent free radical scavenger and antioxidant used primarily for its neuroprotective effects. It works by inhibiting oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation, which are major contributors to neuronal damage during ischemic and neurodegenerative processes. By reducing oxidative injury, Edavine helps preserve neuronal function and prevent secondary damage in acute ischemic stroke and certain neurodegenerative disorders. The injectable form allows rapid delivery to the systemic circulation, providing timely therapeutic action in critical care settings. Edaravone has also shown promise in managing amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other oxidative stress–related neurological conditions.

About the Product

Common side effects include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and mild injection-site reactions. Some patients may experience rash, fever, or elevated liver enzymes. Rare but serious adverse reactions include hypersensitivity, acute renal failure, and anaphylactic shock. Monitoring of renal and hepatic function is recommended during therapy.

Edavine Injection is indicated for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke to improve functional recovery when administered within the therapeutic window. It is also used as part of supportive therapy in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and may be prescribed in other oxidative stress–mediated neurological conditions as per physician guidance.

Edavine Injection should be administered only under medical supervision in a hospital or clinical setting. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Edaravone or any excipients. Caution is advised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. The injection must be given as per recommended dosage and infusion rate; improper administration can lead to adverse effects. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Regular monitoring of clinical and biochemical parameters is essential during treatment.

Store Edavine Injection at a temperature below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep in the original packaging and out of reach of children. Use immediately after opening and discard any unused portion to prevent contamination.
