Cildraw 20 Tablet contains Cilnidipine 20 mg, a next-generation calcium channel blocker (CCB) that blocks both L-type and N-type calcium channels, offering superior blood pressure control and added cardiovascular protection. By relaxing vascular smooth muscles and inhibiting sympathetic nerve activity, Cilnidipine lowers systemic vascular resistance, reduces afterload on the heart, and provides stable control of hypertension with minimal reflex tachycardia. The 20 mg strength is typically prescribed in patients with moderate to severe hypertension or those requiring a higher dose when the 10 mg tablet is insufficient. Cilnidipine also offers renal protective benefits by reducing intraglomerular pressure and proteinuria, making it particularly beneficial for hypertensive patients with diabetes or chronic kidney disease. Its once-daily dosing improves compliance and provides sustained 24-hour blood pressure control.

About the Product

Common side effects include dizziness, headache, flushing, ankle swelling (peripheral edema), and mild fatigue. Some patients may experience palpitations or gastrointestinal upset. Rarely, hypotension or gingival hyperplasia (gum overgrowth) may occur. Most side effects are transient and can be managed with dose adjustment or supportive care.

Cildraw 20 Tablet is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. It is especially recommended in patients requiring stronger blood pressure control, including those with diabetic nephropathy, metabolic syndrome, or kidney involvement.

Cildraw 20 Tablet should be taken only under medical supervision. It is contraindicated in patients with severe aortic stenosis, cardiogenic shock, or known allergy to Cilnidipine. Caution is advised in patients with liver dysfunction, heart failure, or severe hypotension. The medication should not be stopped suddenly without consulting a doctor to avoid a sudden rise in blood pressure. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless clearly indicated by a physician. Alcohol should be avoided or minimized as it can enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect and cause dizziness.
