Ceform S Injection is a potent combination of Cefpirome 1000mg, a fourth-generation cephalosporin, and Sulbactam 500mg, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Cefpirome acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Sulbactam enhances its spectrum by neutralizing beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria. This synergistic combination provides strong bactericidal activity against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens, including beta-lactamase-producing strains. It is ideal for treating severe hospital-acquired infections and complicated community-acquired infections.
Common side effects may include injection site pain, diarrhea, rash, or nausea. Occasionally, patients may experience elevated liver enzymes or blood count abnormalities. Serious allergic reactions are rare but require immediate medical attention.
Ceform S Injection is indicated for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, and skin and soft tissue infections.
